Volunteer
ADAM has been a voluntary organisation since 2010. Skilled volunteers are how much of this work gets done.
ADAM was started by students who volunteered their time, and it still runs on that basis. Whether you are in Hargeisa or in the diaspora, there is almost certainly something useful you can do.
What we need most
Trade instructors
Welders, mechanics, electricians, builders and tailors who can teach a cohort to a professional standard.
Legal and paralegal
Support with case referral, legal awareness sessions and documenting discrimination cases.
Media and design
Photography, video, graphic design, social media and translation between Somali and English.
Grants and fundraising
Proposal writing, donor research and reporting — especially valuable from volunteers working remotely.
Health and community work
Health promotion, hygiene education and community mobilisation inside minority settlements.
