Another group of young people from minority communities has completed ADAM’s technical and vocational training programme, covering welding, auto mechanics, construction and metal fabrication. Each graduate received certification and a starter toolkit so that they can begin earning immediately rather than waiting for equipment.
Trades were selected on the basis of what employers in the area are actually hiring for, and the cohort will be followed over the coming months to record how many move into paid work, apprenticeships or self-employment.
